oooh - a mastercopy - so glad to see more souls joining in the struggle!

but I really have to say I loooooooove that last painting of yours - however disturbing it is - the palette is awesome and so is the technique - actually I think it might have made a great poster  SWEET!

#122

Aw Thanks Magdalena! You know, I think that pic looks waaay better if flipped vertically. It creates a much nicer perspective I think. Like GOD looking down over your shoulder from behind slightly…try it!:bounce: Thanks again!:buttrock:

#123

Another update…

#124

coming along really nice Isaias

you’ll go all the way with this one right? :bounce:

#125

Hey! Nice progress!

#126

Hey Johan, thanks heh. Yeah, I think I’m going to try my hardest on this one. That’s why I’m taking so long…My laptop is messed up right now so I can’t paint:sad:…I’ll have to find a work around.

Hey DIM! :scream:Thanks for the look. I’l try and post another update soon.

#127

I finally got my laptop working again. I can paint! Technically anyways, the skill is still something to shoot for. Here’s another quick study, about 40 minutes. Jeff Buckley, one of the greats.

#128

Hey!.. thats a nice one!!! beautiful colors!!

#129

HEY…Isaias…

REALLY like that last one…Great job on the planes of the face…has that ONENESS about it…:applause:
I think the composition might be even better, if the back of his other hand and fingers, were wrapped around the neck of the giutar…would bring viewer back into the composition, creating a circle composition…fingers would be on the strings, aiming in the direction of his face, in a subtle way…just a thought…
Also like the looseness of the painting, with tightness in the key areas of interest…and the way the colors are really adding to the mood and feeling of the piece…BEAUTIFUL SIMPLICITY…:bounce:
TAKE CARE
Glenn

#132

hey
good to see you got your rig back up.

great portrait of a great musician.
one thing I can’t see in the painting is a hint to his tormented soul though…

#133

Thanks Johan. I think the lack of emotion is because the lack of any eyes…maybe I’ll go back and add to it.Hmm, but first the OFDW! Heh, thanks again!
