Sketchbook Thread Of Ha-dou-ken - 2D/3D
Hey IsaiasThe portrait… whistles… excellent!
I agree with Rebecca when she says sometimes it shows… I was thinking exactly that…
You know, it’s just a phase and you’ll soon be feeling better…
This is turning into a really nice thread btw
Thanks Johan hug I appreciate the visit, really. You guys teach me so much. Moods are just like tides on a beach. I’ll be back soon.
HEY…Isaias…:applause:

WOW…GREAT TOUCH AND FEELING in those last two…RAPID PROGRESS…I GUESS…
:bounce:
Like the little story you put with that face on the preceeding page…maybe a humming bird just whized by her…too fast to see, but just loud enough to whisper in her ear, with it’s buzzing wings …
Hope you have a safe and pleasent adventure down in MEXICO…I drove down as far as Guadalahara with my parents when I was a kid…took two weeks…I remember the jungle, and the mosquitos…lots of them…
…also saw what poverty really means…always stuck in my mind…Anyway, hope you get a chance to do some nice skeches of what is impressed upon you
while you are there, and are able to take a lot of photos also…I remember the VIVID colors of the clothing, pottery, people, ect…Think those memories are where I get the vivid colors in my paintings from…
Looking forward to seeing some BEAUTIFUL and MEANINGFUL paintings of MEXICO when you get back…![]()

Glenn
Thanks Glenn! I appreciate the blessing. I am really looking forward to the architecture, especially the cathedrals. I have been to Nicaragua twice, but this is the first trip to another spanish speaking country besides my own. Should be very fun. I will take LOT’S of pics don’t worry heh. I will paint everything I see too lol! Thanks again for the view.
I like your story too! Makes perfect sense for her expression I think ha.
WOW…Isaias…:bounce: :applause: ![]()
So refreshing to see ART THAT SAYS SOMETHING about the human condition…
Very striking work…that strikes a chord of truth in this viewer anyway.
POWERFUL WORK…Isaias…THANKS for sharing these…![]()
TAKE CARE
Glenn
Man you just made a serioues skill boost with these last paintings!
The crying child is most evoking to me
Keep 'em coming Isaias
Thanks Glenn. Thank you Johan.
When I was in Mexico I saw a lot of poverty and Drug abuse. It help put in perspective how blessed I really am. I just wanted to raise awareness about those who struggle more. I want to vomit when I hear conversations of why some people become upset. (hair, nails, lawsuits, media, sports)…damn yuppies.
Anyways, thanks for the visit guys. More soon. I can’t for the new OFDW too!!! Thanks Becca!
You’ve got some very nice studies here! There’s a real sense of atmosphere in some of these which adds an extra level to your work - congratulations. Are you working from tactile reference on any of these, or has it come from your imagination and things you witnessed in Mexico?
Andy
Hey Andy, thanks for stopping by.
I used referemce for most of those pieces. Mexice is responsible for any sort of impressionism that might be in there though. Thanks again.
I have to agree with others and tell that these last pieces show a great progress. Of which I’m pretty jealous about
The last piece looks extremely nice. It has potential to be pushed forward but I’m afraid that it might loose it’s beauty when polished to little details.
Thanks for showing, enjoyed looking at it :bounce: And more, do more!
Thanks Razz. I’m jealous of you haha:thumbsup:. Your work is inspiring.
I purposely left it as loose as possible to signify how drugs can detract light, color, and the very person. That’s why I used a brush with lot’s of holes in it. No matter how much you paint and paint this person, there will always be holes…
Hi Isaias… great piece… the last one… your strokes are really cool… catches the light well… and the story too.
Hey everyone, I thought I’d post my OFDW progress. I’m usinga grid for this one. (begin the throwing of tomatos) I want to focus more on quality and not so much proportion though…sorry. I’m really going to take my time on this one though, like the callenge asks for, so I might only get one or two done before next year. Here’s what I have so far…
