Wow, you’re posting quicker than I can reply!

:scream:

I love these! Very strong expressive features and I like the freedom about the way you apply your strokes. It’s got a lot of your digital brushwork, you know?

Hi Mu

These were done mostly in Artrage 2.5 (such a wonderful small and elegant program!)

Thanks for dropping by

Hi Gord,
very nice portrait, you captured the likeness very well

I would suggest starting with harder brushes first to clearly define areas, and then smooth them out with soft brushes later. This was a mistake I made before as well, to just blend everything together with large soft strokes, but then everything ends up blurry and out of focus.
You could however start with soft brushes and paint the details in the focus with a harder brush later to get the effect of soft focus portrait photography, that’s also a good way

HEY Gord :wavey:

You are getting really good at those caricatures…without going to overboard on them…that’s an art in itself,…and it looks like you have mastered it…
I regonized just about all of them right off…The ones I didn’t, were ones that I probably don’t know about anyway…Hard to keep up with all the new faces out there now days …LOL
Anyway, ALWAYS a real pleasure seeing what you’ve been up to…Nice energy in that linework by the way…
TAKE CARE Gord…
Glenn

Hi Gord!

nice caricatures, my fav is the Slash one. Have you considered fleshing them out (colour and all)?

#180

Hi Glen, Mu

yes I have thought about colour, but for now just getting the likeness and exaggerations is the challenge!
