Here are some drawing I did.

Thanks for passing by and don’t hesitate to make critics and commentaries.

I just love the style you have! So comic bookish, is that what you are going for because I think what you are doing right now looks really good

#3

Study of face in 3D

I know a really simple thing you can do in photoshop to clear up your drawings after scanning. I dont know if you already know or if it would help you but you can change how clear your image is by

Select Image tab
Adjustments
Brightness / contrast

if you just move the sliders it can help to make image darker or lighter
If not needed, well i find it fun to play around with. Hehe

I am kind a newbie in photoshop … but I´ve already know the adjustment of brightness/contrast but never thought of using it for cleaning the scanings …silly of me …
I was using “levels” …=p
Sometimes I am just playing and start drawing in a piece of paper, but the paper´s back is already “dirty”. So when a scan these, this “dirty” appear too … =/
Anyways thanks for the tip …=)

Good start man! Your studies have a nice line quality; some good hand studies as well. The 3D head looks very smooth; the eyelids are the next step?

Keep going!

#9

Nice sketches you have. I really like the comic/cartoon style you’ve got going

#10

A good start!

Keep drawing your hands and feet from life and other people too if you can.

Hi battle812, Thanks! I will finish it but I am focusing more on drawing now. I need to study anatomy more, your thread and other ones are so inspring. So I can improve my skill in the 3D.

Hi Roja, Thanks for the compliment. I need to improve it a lot, so I will mainly study anatomy right now.

Hi Gahpe

yuor studies look very clean. Line quality and that certain self confidence comic book contours need to have is already there and are nice to follow, actually.

My main suggestion would be to try something along the lines of gestures. If you search through the general anatomy forum stickies or the tutorial section there should be a wonderful tutorial by Rebeccak about gestures.

Gesture in this case does not only mean the pose of a hand or an expression of one part of the body - it’s more a general pose and a natural flow of weight, balance and energy which forms a strong figurative image.

A good section to practise the loose character of gestures is the sketchathon (in the tutorials and workshop section, IIRC) where you draw from reference photos within 15 mins. That way you don’t have the time to care about details or even categories like “right” or “wrong” - all you try to do is nail the gesture down.

Have fun!

Hi Mu, thanks man !

I know what you mean, I have already taken a look at the 15 min sketchathon thread, It is real good I copy some pictures from there to start doing that too …=)
My main problem is to make the proportion and anatomy right when I am trying to create from imagination.
But I guess I can fix that studying a lot and doing more copies from gesture picutres too…=)
I am taking life drawing classes too once a week. It is helping a lot too, wish I could did more …=/
Thanks for the good tip Mu …=)
I will put an extra effort on that too …
