Those are really nice studies! And it’s fascinating to actually see improvement in such a short period of time - the last ones are way better and more 3 dimentional in feel than the first ones! Keep going :applause:

The dedication you show to your craft is an inspiration in itself. I love how you attack everything and really seek to learn all you can about it. The front and back studies are all coming on nicely, and you’ve come a long way even from the beginning of those… Have you ever tried shading in the direction of the form? At the minute it seems all your shading is done in the same direction which is lovely for smooth looking drawings, but in these it might help inject a littl bit of life to try other driections following the form, even curvier lines swinging back and forth… just a suggestion! Keep it up!

I keep thinking “must study more… must study more” every time I visit your thread. That’s the kind of sense seing your work is making to me!
thanks for that :slight_smile:

@Intervain

thx a lot. Honestly i have to admit that the scribbly look was a direct result of my laziness. i didn’t want to invest too much time in the beginning, but now, for a better look, i do it. :slight_smile:

@Zephyri
thx. Well, i think the studies are too small to shade along the form. every post is about A4 (lettersize), but i understand your concern. :slight_smile:

Don Seegmiller once said: Quantity over Quality (concerning learning and practice), and he’s absolutely right.

@NR43
thx too. hope i can keep motivating you. :slight_smile:

Hi…Erich…:slight_smile:

Great studies…:thumbsup:
You might add to thier effect…just my opinion here, and a passing thought.:slight_smile:
By making some of the muscles relaxed even more than you are showing, while the other muscles are working, you would be creating a reason, action for, in, and with the pose. You might try really emphasizing that aspect of the figure more in these studies.
Having all of the muscles tensed and bulging at the same time, …would make it imposible to move…some stretch, and some bulge, alowing movement…TWIST and motion.
Like I said though,…just a thought that might test your memory even further, and enhance those GREAT studies that your doing even more:)
Really looking forward to seeing more of these studies…think they are great, and a great way to learn to remember…:thumbsup:
TAKE CARE
Glenn

thx Glenn :slight_smile:

I know what you mean, good advice. For now i’m hammering the muscles in my head, therefore i chose mainly pumped up bodybuilding models. I will do exercises like you’ve mentionned in a few weeks, when i think i’m ready.

thx again, your thoughts are always apprechiated
