sketchbook Thread of DivineRAiN v2

since my first thread quietly died off, I’m starting a second one. My computer is back up and running with a new (well, used) motherboard. Kinda funny how much I draw when my computer is down and since I got it back I haven’t traditionally drawn anything.

working on this one in painter

an update on that project in zbrush. Down to one stick of memory so this one has to be put on hold.

The above is the most recent version of the woman’s face.

#6

edit… the latest update on the digital one.

Me likes the new look of Blender. Been working on this one in blender 2.54.

subsurface scattering tests, and painted a little more on the texture map.

Yesterday I edited the hands n fingers, deleted the arm rig I had (got rid of the ik/fk switch), and created another arm rig with just the ik. Hoping I’ll get some input on how to get the forearm to twist in this version of blender… that’s all I have left to do for the arm rig. Until then I’ll work on a face rig and the eyelids.

I really love your studies. Excellent work. can’t wait to see more

Lovely charcoal sketches and Zbrush stuff. I think your painting could do with a little more work on the tone. The rendering’s great but the tones are very even across the whole piece.

Will be keeping an eye on this !

thanks for the crit, I completely agree with ya about the tone.
An update on Willow, was painting weights on the skirt n decided to play with the pose.

Lately I’ve been working on this one, another blender project, and inspired by Lomax’s mary-anne.

nevermind the knees, I never did anything to them yet. This was testing out the deformation of the shoulders which doesn’t have any blendshapes. (need some tho)

the walk cycle I did really sux. But I’m a noob at that sort of thing, it was my first walk cycle, it’s supposed to suck.

decided to bring the willow character into zbrush for posing n just to have some fun n practice with digital sculpting. Just added the eyes, hair, n dress last night.

created some shapekeys/blendshapes for lucy. Had tweaked the shader n lighting
