Mike- rather impressive drawing:thumbsup:> you are the anatomy render master>

In relation to its beast, your probably gonna hate me but: I recon to support all that power in the hind legs the fella’s gonna need a far stronger looking spine, I’d definately increase the diameter of the vertebrae towards the back end, looks as if he’d snap himself in two if he jumped forward.

I’m loving those epic back legs though+ I like the typography too - way cool

Bloke >>> Thx for the feedback. I totally missed that back end veribrae v’s thrusting forward via rear legs thing. Cheers for pointing that out. :applause:

Will sort it out soon, and post it with my muscle study.

Really loving your last drawing ~ could you explain a bit about how it moves? The front legs look a bit too short to offer any help in that matter ~ does it leap around on its rear legs like a kangaroo or rabbit, have you put any thoughts into that?

hey Corvax,

Yeah, you are right. I did imagine it moving by the power of it’s substantially sized rear legs. When I was researching for it, I remembered in the original Quake game (ID software) the fiend character, and how it used to race at you and then rip you to shreads with it’s clawed front legs. So I am imagining it would work on similar principals.

I think it would initially thrust out like a kangeroo to gain momentum, then run in a short burst on two legs at its target/prey. (The drawing shows it in a resting position.)

Thanks for the feedback!

MIKE

Good god, that beast is freakin’ awesome! :argh:

Thank you for the ego boosting comments erilaz!!

Mike:thumbsup:> Looking good. A suggestion would be to include a scaling device, at the moment I can’t tell if its the size of a house, or a very vicious looking doormouse (although the size of the eye suggests its quite large). Maybe a low opacity human silouette would do it.

I really want to see you pull off a pic of it baring its fangs/claws and looking menacing GGRRRR (possibly with half-eaten limbs scattered around the place)

NICE

Andy>> All of the things you suggest will be covered in the model sheet I need to produce for the character, (hopefully at some point this week. )

Keep watchin’ this space…

Cheers mate and Happy New year to you  See you next week for lifedrawing class.

It’s a beautiful image, Mike, though he’s not very menacing. In fact, he looks like a rather nice sort of fellow…it depends on what your intention is.

Cheers,
