quickie before lunch: Jim Carrey… omg totally missed :wip:

another quickie before lunch: the face of a real girl turned into a totally different portrait

Hi Cisc0
your characters have a really good sense of weight and structure! it’s cool to see you experimenting with digital - looks like you can paint tight as well as loose - I think you’ll love digital when you crack it!
Nice work, reminds me a lot of fashion illustration. You’ve persuaded me to venture into using some more materials and colours. :arteest:
Lucas: thanks for the good words man!
Carl00: I’m glad to read that I inspired you to try something new, good luck^^

Update…
the last one is the portrait of a classmate of mine. Really enjoyed it (also drawing a little character with his unique style… didn’t want to steal it of course^^… just did an imitation)

There’s something strange yet attractive about this piece.
I like the different surfaces you used, separating the elements from eachother, but at the same time the overlapping of these elements on the different surfaces ensures a solid connection to form one piece as a whole.
well… there’s a little joke: it’s only one surface… the little panel behind the girl it’s a trompe l’oil. but I think the illusion is just done by the photo
.
Hehe brilliant!
You got me there mate… maybe I should look more carefully before commenting eh.
I’m even more fond of it now
Hi Cisco,
I absolutely love those rectangular stylized sketches! That last painting is really cool!
Just having fun… after quite long time

little “matte painting” on an old photo of me… now I have long hair as I tried to draw
