sit to stand exercise

Hey all, this is what I am working on for week seven of my animation class. The character is a guard who was asleep on the job, and woke up to hear his commander coming around the corner. He frantically stands to attention. My goal for this is snappy exaggerated movement.

Here are some planning thumbnail drawings I did, I also shot myself acting it out.

This is what I have so far for the blocking. Everything is pretty rough, I am trying block the poses in and figure out the timing. I would appreciate any feedback you may have.
