Simcloth3:Just a little help

#1

This Simcloth3 rocks but why are all my cloths blowing and falling out of sight? I have physiqued even tryed skining it to bone/s and it still douse it. I know the answer to this is so simple yet im knocking my brain out over here

Because in order for the cloth to work, you need to set the characters body as a deflector. This way, the cloth will collide against the body and react properly.

hum well here let me show you cause I just tryed to add a deflector and it fell right through it

Well, your cloths are falling because there is nothing connected to them. You need to add a floor, or a flag pole or something. I really don’t understand what you are trying to do here. Do you just want the flag to float around as though it were in zero gravity?

But I have it skined to a bone see it in the picture? my question is should simcloth be ignoring my skin to the bone, and just fall like that?

#6

Oh, I see the bone. It’s hard to see because it blends in with the background color. What you need to do is click on Simcloth3 in the modifier menu. Then click on it. You will see an option under it labeled “Vertex” Then select the top row of vertices on your cloth. Attach them to the bone. Then the cloth will “hang” from the bone.
