simba rig feedback, thoughts and ideas

Hey guys!

I found this model of simba from the lion king and started rigging him for fun, but I’m stuck at the moment and would like some feedback and ideas from you as how to take his rig further.

I’m not into what the IK Neck 1 is doing. It just feels weird, and by association, the rest of the IK neck controls don’t seem to be doing anything that helps out.

Master control needs to be scaled down, (IMO) it’s too big. There could be a lot of attributes that you could make to make this rig better. I’d give some extra help, but I’m just looking at this really quick then getting back to my rigging.

I wouldn’t rig the tail straight out like you did.

The whiskers are too thick.
You’ve just got a jaw control, I would build facial controls.

I’d critique more, but I’m in a rush.

These aren’t things that are wrong, just things that I would change had I built it.

I agree about the Ik-neck. it made sense at the time, but taking a second look at it after the things you pointed out I see that it’s just annoying.

I kept the master control that big so it wouldn’t get in the way, but I’ll scale it down.
An yes, I’m planning to give Simba a face rig I just haven’t gotten there yet.
