Silverlight Eclipse

We are searching for some graphical artists for an up and coming web based game. We are experienced at working as a team, and really looking for someone who could join our team. This would not be for pay, but instead for experience and for fun. We ourselves are not going to be making any money off of this game.

Team name:
Blackbriar studios, we are an indie group that is devoted to making fun games for people to play.

Project name:
Eclipse V2, The first version was released in 2001 and ran til 2004.

Target aim:
Freeware

Compensation:
This is a project for experience. Working as a team and putting out a product that people enjoy playing. It should be fun for all involved.

Technology:
We are using Microsoft Silverlight 1.1 for the client. The game itself is programmed in C, and most of the architecture is already finished. Please see website for more information.

Talent needed:
We really could use some artists… Right now we have good designers and coders. We have built the game once already, our aim is to move it into the graphical world.

Matt and Dave have been together since 2001, I was a player in their game, they picked me up around 2002.

Update:

Client: From the client side we have a working client that connects to our game and can even be played. We have had a couple artists interested in helping us out, and we are adding graphics to the client as we get the art. It is coming along nicely and we hope to get some more help.

Gameside: The game world is actually playable in it’s current state, we are making changes to it, and making it bigger as we speak. I am currently putting in a craft system for the game, and we are making large changes to the class player system.

Needed: We really need someone that is on a similar level as we are, and has similar goals. We look at ourselves as similar to an upcoming band. We want to commit, put out a product, and hope the public likes it. We are searching for someone similar in age, background, and schooling.
So if you are someone up and coming as an artist, want to work on video games sometime in the future. I would really like to let you in on what we are doing, and where we are at. If you are interested at all, just chat with me, and my coleagues. We’ll let you know what’s going on, and if it’s something you’d like to do, you might have a lot of fun with us.
