SIGGRAPH 09 Notes....Who has noticed us.

As some of you might know,I am currently attending the SIGGRAPH conference in New Orleans.
During the afternoon I attended a very well atended CG Recruiters Panel in which they discussed industry trends and what requirements they have for prospective candidates.
During the Q&A section of the event, I had a chance to ask headhunters what they thought of the kind of mini-challenges we do in the forum…

Their response blew me away…

Lets just say that Your work on all these mini challenges has not escaped their notice.
They are QUITE aware of the talent we have on board. (In all sections)
And we are talking of top companies like EA, LucasArts, Digital Domain.

The fact that some of them knew of past Challenges was VERY humbling.

So Congratz guys…I am VERY proud of all of you.

lol…sorry…just had a kid moment there…in all seriousness it’s quite cool that what we do here is actually being noticed by the big wigs…makes it all feel worthwhile

Oh men, I must have missed the panel, and I wish I knew what you looked like Roberto because I would have said hello, but that is such inspiring news. Time to double my efforts I suppose.
