Short film: War of the worlds

#1

Hi.

Our small team of international artists is currently looking for two
talented texture artists familiar with Maya and one web designer familiar with PHP MySQL and also Flash

You would be working on a hugely anticipated short film which is being produced as a Proof of Concept for pitching to two major television companies late 2005. At this point your work will be voluntary, but of course as and when funds to become available financial contracts will be agreed. Don’t worry, this is not the usual ‘flash in the pan’ hobby film which wont come to anything, we have professionals and hobbyists alike working together to produce a visually stunning piece.

Texture artists would be required to fit a specific visual style, although of course your creative input would be invaluable, we don’t run a sweat shop. You would idealy ahve experience usng Maya’s UV mapping tools, but if not this can be countered. You will be working on very different models, from humans and animals to some very ‘alien’ looking mechanicals.

The web designer is required to produce a small, but easily updateable site which has some interaction and elements of fun. Most of the visual design has already taken place so if this is not your strong point dont worry.

If you feel you fit either of these roles and would like to take part in what is becomming a very successfull project please contact either myself or the Director at: andrew@12thnight.co.uk

Thanks!

We are aware of the spielberg project, and our legal people have confirmed that we are enough away of the original story that we are well within legal limits.

The theme is the same, the story is different.

yes i would just like to reiterate what micha said, this isnt your typical “fanboy” project with unrealistic expectations and dreams, we know what work has to be done, and we wont stop till its done.
I have been working on this project for around a month and a half, solid, and I gotta say things are well organized and nothing is left to chance.

We have though about this "project " in great detail. Micha lives in the netherlands, he flew over to london so that a few of us could go on a pre-production shoot, and have a chat about whats going on.

So if you feel you would like to work on our team, please dont hesitate to let us know.
