Short Film: Eva Corrupta

Hey Everyone.

I’m looking to put together a short animated film. I haven’t filled in all the plot points, but I’m shooting for a story about a band of unlikely heros set out to rescue queen in exile.

As far as the world is concerned, I’m hoping to acheive something that looks like something FASA would have put out, but a little more ‘edge of the universe’, rural, backcountry, per se.

The project is Sci-Fi. That’s a no brainer I suppose. Mechs, troops, cities and vast natural enviroments will be needed. I’d love for this to looks as good as Final Fantasy: The spirits within. Running time is most likely going to be between 10 and 20 minutes.

As far as team goes, we’re looking for modellers, animators, matte painters, concept artists, and all other sorts of things.

Final Fantasy quality, thats ambitious, but the idea sounds really really good so why not. I think the best starting point is working out the script in more detail. Though that doesn’t mean you won’t need help right from now, the quicker people start work on the models the better. In a project like this quality counts.

Merry freakish Christmas Everyone! :slight_smile:

Today I finished the initial plot point and framework for the project. It came to a total of 15 “Oh Shits-” and “Oh my Gods!!!”. Not a bad count for a short. As tomorrow is Christmas, I’ll be taking the day off… unless I get bored. You never know.

Anyway. A revised hint of the story.

When a group of talented mech theives are caught in the act of hiesting the Revised Governments latest prototype, the punishment is death.

Or so it seems.

Between certain death and the unknown, the group is forced to undertake a suicide mission to rescue a princess in exile from the other side. Upon obtaining the princess, members of the group mysteriously begin to collapse…

The project your talking about was “Templars”. That project went on extended hiatus about a year ago.

Hey All…

Small update Tonight! Spent about an hour trying to draw some concept art of the characters. Got pissed off, and logged on to Ugo and used the Herobuilder. It’s a cheat, I know, but it gets the idea across…

Also, the script is underway. I suspect I’ll have a good deal of it’s first draft done before the new year. Wish me luck!

I’m currently knocking out the script, which is currently 6 pages long. I’m trying to get a team together, but interest seems scarce. Here’s what we’re looking for:

Concept artist.
3D Modeller (Prefferably with XP in Vray or simular)
Texture Artist
Matte Painter

I’ll attach pictures of some work I’d like this to be comparable with as soon as I get permission’s. Here’s Kariy’s Mecha, which I love. Thanks for the usage Kariy!!!

As I said, I’m looking for photo realism, but this style of mech and lighting are very stylized, and I enjoy the feel very much.

Hmmm… Maybe you should show what you’re capable off :thumbsup: Are you a writer or do you have other talents o_O - I’m quite interested in this but I’d like to know more.

I’ve got other talents as well. I play drums, as well as guitar. This is going to be my 4th script. I’ve attached some pics from a trailer of one of them (Not sure why, but why not? Maybe so you know I can frame a pretty picture?)

I’m also a steadicam operator. That’s my big thing. My reel will be together… someday.
If you want examples of my writing, let me know in private. I’m edgy about what I release.

Al-X. Let me tell you now that Benson is one of the most creative and inventive people I know. We are working together on another project at the moment, a feature film, and he has written the best script I have seen for months, and I see a lot of scripts.

Benson is someone I would trust all the way. He’s a great team leader, a sprited invidual and has practical experience in professional film production. This guy is no amatuer :thumbsup:.

Maybe, since you are a musician yourself, you don’t need music for your short film, but if you do, I’d love to be in there!!!

Well, it’s been a while since my last update, but alas, the project trudges onward!!!

The script is nearly half way done, and is, in my humble opinion, great.
