Hi,
wanted to present you with our short non-profit 45s clip for a tourist guide project MAGNI, in the Czech republic. We are developing a series of 5 art clips, 4 hand animated and author oriented style, and one 3D short - which is the focus on this thread.
I have decided to go public with the project (cause it is non-profit also), since previously working on a short film Tele-Vision (thread http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=153&t=659586&highlight=oneczech ) having this internet community help us a lot, also encouraging to go beyond my current skills … and i think if you like our current project MAGNI, please, feel free to push us forward, give us tips and crits, we would appreciate it … .
The 3D clip is about a Rabi Low from 16th century Prague. And Golem, a legendary jewish clay figure that Rabi assembled to protect the jewish town (a neighborhood in the historic center of Prague). The clip should feel like as if you were to visit quickly Prague at a very quick glance, a moment of christian pogroms in the neighborhood (which was typical back then), We cut right into the action where the prague crowd is chanting under the synagogue and Rabi enters the door to hide inside the Old-new Prague synagogue (more about the location HERE ) . The attic is officially closed to public, so we are on our own terms when it comes do design of the room and what may have happened there, cause we really do not know and have no means to find out
. Golem is also a legend, so … Rabi is running away from the mob and meets Golem at the attic of the synagogue. …
At the moment we are at the stage of having the puppets ready, finishing on the environment models, getting ready for 3D layout …

the slogan of the project is MAGNI: JOURNEYS WITH THE STORY … (vaguely translated from Czech “Cesty s příběhem”)
thank you
