Shirow Project Book#3 Side-Mission
Hey hey hey, not without me! Hi everyone hope all is well. I had a moement to stop in I was definately thinking about you all and the project. Im glad everything is moving on. I still working in the background (kinda, ideas and stuff, storyboards). Im almost done with the shooting range set. I will keep you all posted as time permits. Keep up the good work, and SD Im curious?

Just checking in to say I’m back. I’m still working on the CGChallange, but in the light of what has become my CGChallange tradition, I will most likely not finish. So I’m ready for Shirow work again.

Another head model. This is just a modified version of the last one i posted and a new texture.

Zem- You’re doing better than me…just looking at the entries from previous challenges overwhelms me. :hmm:
Darklight- Nice work!.. thanks for keeping at it. Just want to repeat not to worry about the quiet time lately. Once the Cellshaded scene is done things will switch back to the Tower/Dock sets and characters. :wip:
[left]I’m a huge fan of Ghost in the shell, and Shirows work ( a huge anime fan ) actually. I’ve watched this project silently 'til now, because I somehow, didn’t realise what it actually was, untill just recently… haha, how ironic.
The project is looking really good, and I look forwards to seeing it come to life.
I suggest uvmapping each side of that head individually to avoid it looking to “mirrored” You get more control that way and it will enable you to do so much more.
Other then that, the head looks really nice, it’s definietly shaping up to be really nice!

The head is unwrapped on both sides, the mirrored look is more down to my texturing than anything else.I’ll try to get a bit more variation into the next one.
I should also mention things will be slow for a while longer as I’m still wrestling to finish a new workstation (don’t ask, it’s too depressing to talk about it. :hmm: ) to replace my current dual p3 setup that’s still sliding into the grave with random reboots etc. It seems my experience on self builds is that it either all works great the first time, or I spend a month of wrangling to get evertything running 100%. :argh:
I’ve been quite lucky with the sytems i’ve built so far, i’ve had no real problems with any of them. Good luck in gettting your new system up and running

Hope everyone is well. I’ve had some time to work on the dingy shooting range which is one of the sets for one side project. Im still here. Im just trying to get some of the set assets in place before we start working on the rest. I have 4 major sets I think or atleast last time I counted. Anywho heres a quick update.
