hehehh…I already was thinking that same thing I think we could use those boots just fine.

PS: …just a heads up- you should be hearing from Colkai shortly re some Biped/prop constraints setup. :smiley:

Left Boot in the ftp : :)boot.obj. BTW does LW support overlapping uvs - I hope so. Let me know if not and I’ll rework the uvs.

…Also should mention I had a go at the Fuchi FBX merge…took a while to find all the files for the LW end…I’m so organized yah know :smiley: …so far a few glitches, but nothing that isn’t fixable yet.
I’ll go out on a ledge and say I think we are pretty well good to go as far as working back in LW for rendering. :wip:

We have a new member joining shirowproject. He emailed me as Rik, but I don’t know his CGT user name yet.

He asked about doing an environment- judging from his work examples he seems to be capable and also able to UV and texture :slight_smile: .
So, after some thought it was decided to let him have a go at the Roof top set. ā€œWhat roof top setā€? you say :eek: …um…it’s been in the storyline for a while, but never got started.
Sllink’s male sniper is going into this set… ā€œWhat male sniperā€? you say…heheh…all will be clear as this new set hopefully grows. :wip:

Was talking with Sllink a bit yesterday …he has a story rough layed out in the team forum. It’s based on the models he has been doing over the last while. For now you need to be a Team Forum Member to login and read it .

On the rig- I think I finally sorted out the shoulders issue we seem to get alot in MB. :bounce:

Here’s a shot with a standard unmodified Mocap file on him…seems to work great. :slight_smile:

Hiya!

I’m Rik, a new member of the Shirow Team. I ve started on the rooftop set that Soft-Distortion mentioned earlier. Here are some of my first renders of a HVAC (climate control system on top of a roof) system.

The first model is now ready, i will now texture the object fairly quick to place it in the whole picture of the roof. After I’ve got a good idea about the rest of the roof i will start detailing the HVAC with smoother corners etc etc. But here first the Model and its UV map.

PS i don t think the models are coming with these attachments… i couldn t upload them for some strange reason. The UV were no problem, does anyone know how to fix this?

Do you mean pictures? If so, they are probably too big or in an unsupported format. You could always use something like imageshack, tinypic, or even photobucket.

Hola everybody btw. I’ve been a bit busy with uni right now, but i’ve been watching; looks like there’s quite a bit of activity, and nice/fun things going on. Keep up the good work :thumbsup: .

Donshole- hehe…it is piling up huh :slight_smile: .
I know it may seem a bit reckless, but Sllink is pretty keen on doing this story and he’s already done a ton of work to kick it off …I couldn’t drag him back to the main scenes and squash the enthusiasm. Besides, I figure he’s earned it anyways plus hes the only team member that has rendered out a heavy duty scene so far…he can handle it. :buttrock:

I’m plodding along on areas that don’t need much help other then the odd model and help with rigs etc anyways, so hopefully I can keep at that and grab whoever is free when needed.

Ntt- Welcome to the CGT team thread :slight_smile: Ill let you know when I have FTP access set up for you, so don’t worry about uploading your models till then. You can show your WIP images like you did already. But we don’t link the models for public access.

Hi team let me know what we need for anything for the exisiting projects I will jump in where I can. :twisted: This story has just been in my brain for a bit and it wants out so I poked a hole…ahhh ahh. I rendered a short animation of the sniper walking down the hall last night, it doesnt look to bad unfotunately I cant upload it. Its fairly big.

Anyway heres a picture of the Locker room. I frankenstein parts of it and modeled other parts and textured with procedurals. This place is gonna be dark some of you may be wondering what in the blazes am I talking about. Must have a look see on the team forums

Just a wip post to show that i’m still here.

Working on a male head at the moment. about 2 hours of modeling done so far. Still needs a lot of work but here is where i’m at at the moment.
