Hi everyone,

I found some time to update the sniper model. I gave her new hair and I redid the hands. The biggest issue with this model was the poly count. I had to reduce it by getting rid of those arm bands and the hands were pretty hi poly. I also did away with the grey eye goggle thingy. I still have it if we ever need it. I decided to give her some yellow tinted sniper glasses instead. I also re created her top torso to remove some excess polys in that area. I tried to use less hair polys with a better map but I still ended up using two layers for the hair oh well. She still needs a proper weight map, I just hate doing them arrrrgggg. Theres gotta be a better way! The bike I made for a short I have in mind within the Shirow universe. Its a kinda of hover bike, I used two bike images for reference to create it. :thumbsup:

PS. I still want to use this and many of the other models we have. The problem right now is finishing what we have and filling out the scenes with characters. So we have a lot of modelling/texturing/rigging/animating to do. I was hoping to also use this sniper’s head with some retexturing and add her as another character… hope thats ok too. :slight_smile:

Ok SD I give up. I guess the hair wasnt so bad after all. Hmmm what was I thinking???:smiley: Wheres Colkai when you need him? I added the finger needle to the robo assasin with a morph that opens the finger with the needle inside. unfortunately its being affected by the stinkin bones arrgggg. I guess a weightmap might fix it. Did I tell you guys how much I hate creating weightmaps!!!:smiley:

Work the last week has been very busy so no progress with any modeling but i’m hoping to get back to modeling a couple of new heads this week.

Uploaded the shoes to the ftp for texturing. Made two versions. One with the inside of the sole deleted and one with everything intact.

Zem- For now I was thinking of trying to use the Guges model we already have…just haven’t had time to check if that will work. Hang in for a bit…there will be some items needed now that the characters are coming together.

Also thanks for work you did on the footwear…will also get to the shoes textures this week :thumbsup:

Donshole- wow, that looks so much nicer now! :buttrock:

UPDATE-
I wanted to post a couple rough renders of some of the parts going into the dock set.
This small sample represents almost every member of shirowproject. :eek:
…the rest of the activity that will be going on in this set includes towcar driveby, workers loading copbots into the dropship, giant floor elevators delivering bots and cargo to the mainfloor from the basement levels.
It should be pretty nice with the full scene staged. :slight_smile:

Looking good SD. As promised, the fuchi animation fbx files are in the ftp, in the folder red fuchi_w finished! :beer:. The “plot” file is ready for LW import.

For the people that are wondering what fuchi_w is…Donsole and I have been working on this set and anoimation for a while now. It’s the cellshade tunnel set (see below)with the redfuchikoma in it for a short intro animation. End 2006 is the completion date we were shooting for, but it might be ahead of schedule now. Hopefully all goes well on the next leg of this scene. :wip:
