jayreef - thats the fanciest garbage barge I’ve seen. LOL! Your to cool man! As for boats yours are hot. Love them. Now that you’ve seen the Tower complex you have an idea of just how big this thing is. To make it funner we are actually putting three of these things together in the train-dropship sequence. So, oh yeah we need lots of boats. But don’t get burned out on them.
Akiraf - thats cool I would love to see the bike. I just got Akira this last week and plan on watching it tonight. I’m even more excited because I should finally be getting GITS this week. Never seen that vid either!
SD - As for deck level and interior shots lets talk about it. I actually added a few things in that would help in that area. Plus I have a few assets for dressing up areas like the train station already done since we will see them as the train zoom past the middle tower. And yeah we’ll need a couple people for that. Hmm, what about adding one or two of sllink’s awesome ESWATS at the station as well? The harbour dock doors are already setup with morphs to open and close and the top walk ways to lift up/down. I was trying to add animated walkways going from the main walkways towards the harbour wall buildings. But stopped after setting the walkways themselves. I then thought that if we go that far we’ll animate the walk ways with a texture timed to flow with a null. The same null would also be used for moving the people along the path. Yeah I know in reality its a little harder then that but no need for techs here and now. Just know its up and working. Theres no actual doors setup yet. However I have a whole library of doors I can use to slap in place of where I had intended to just texture map doors to. In fact I have plenty of other assets we could use to really dress this whole thing up if we go that route.
Right now I’m trying to reorganize my ShirowProject directory. I got really sloppy with it and it was making life unbearable. I’m also cleaning up all the twenty trillion surfaces I had setup so its much more user friendly now. I ended up using surfaces in place of selection sets for modeling just so I could tell what was what. The Tower itself is cleaned up. Now onto the harbour ring complex.
