Seriously Adobe? Why do you hate users?

Does anyone else find it mind boggling that Adobe saw fit to change the keyboard shortcut for “interpret footage” from the easy to use quickly ctrl-f to the not easy to do quickly ctrl-alt-g?

And its not like they made ctrl-f do something really really cool…it doesn sweet f-all now.

WHY Adobe?

So, is there a way to change it back that anyone knows?

I’d imagine the “why” is so that Ctrl-F will do the same thing in AE as it does in Windows. Every other piece of windows software uses it for “Find.”

Although After Effects does not include the option to easily edit keyboard shortcuts from the menus, like Photoshop does, it is possible to change the shortcuts preferences file with a text editor.

The file “Adobe After Effects [Version Number] Shortcuts.txt” is found in your application data folder. Under XP: Documents and Settings > [Username] > Application Data > Adobe > After Effects > [Version Number]
Under Vista: Users > [Username] > AppData > Roaming > Adobe > After Effects > [Version Number]
