I am starting an animation for my senior project and I want to get feedback throughout the entire process. I will be update both my blog and this thread with my WIP. Right now all I have is a character design for the main character. Keep in mind these are the first sketches of him.
Here is the final draft of the script.
Duncan (Working Title)
Fade In
INT. KTICHEN DAY
Nothing in the kitchen but a table with a bowl and a box of cereal on it, a few chairs, and a refrigerator. In front of the fridge lies a rug on the floor. Duncan walks in from the left, looking tired and moving slowly. He looks at the box of cereal on the table and his stomach growls. He looks down and grabs his stomach. Duncan grabs the box and pores some out into the bowl. He looks up at the fridge.
Duncan
(sighs)
Duncan walks over to the fridge and tries to open the door, but it wont open. Duncan continues to pull harder and harder but the door wont budge.
ehhhhhhh
Duncan begins to pound on the fridge to try to get it to open, but still nothing.
AHHHHHHHHH!
He disappears behind the fridge and reappears on top of it continuing to hit it.
AHHHHHHHHHH!
He disappears again and reappears behind the fridge and strikes the fridge once more.
AHHHHHHHH!
Duncan stops hitting the fridge and storms out to the left mumbling to himself on the way out. He comes back with a crowbar and walks over to the fridge. He proceeds to try to pry open the fridge with the crowbar to no success. He throws the crowbar to the floor and storms out to the left, mumbling to himself again.
From off screen we hear a chainsaw rev and kick on. We hear it slice into a tree and hear the sound of a tree falling and hit the ground. The chainsaw turns off.
AHHHHHHHHH!
Duncan comes running in from the left with a battering ram made out of the fallen tree. He runs into the fridge and flies straight into the front of the fridge. The log drops and rolls. Duncan slides down the fridge and onto the floor. After a few seconds he gets up and runs off screen to the left. He comes back in carrying buckets of TNT which is almost too much for him to carry. He puts them down all around the fridge and walks back out to the left with the trigger.
CAMERA Crabs to the left following cord.
Duncan is standing over the trigger with a helmet on. Laughing he presses down on the trigger and a big explosion comes from off screen. Bits of wood from the table and chairs comes flying onto screen.
CAMERA Crabs right back to kitchen aftermath
Fridge remains intact from the explosion but everything else is broken. The fridge only has scorch marks. Duncan comes running in from the left. As he looks at the aftermath, he begins to shake and explodes. Screaming he runs around the kitchen with his arms over his head. He runs over to the fridge and begins to bang, claw, and bite at the fridge. After a few seconds he falls to the floor and exhausted. He is breathing heavy and his stomach moves up and down with his breathing. Duncan grabs the bowl and throws it at the fridge. The fridge door pops open. Duncan sits up with his mouth wide open.
Huh
Duncan falls back to the ground.
