Semi Speed Paints and Studies.

#1

I haven’t been seriously drawing for quite a while, and I’m trying to get back into it. A friend of mine told me since my schedule is so hectic i should do a bunch of photo studies at least to get my “art mojo” back, so here are a few studies i have been doing in the past month to try and improve my skill, speed, and accuracy. Im going to start braving environments soon, as that is by far my weakest subject. Any cirts or tips to help me improve are always welcome.

a sereies of 1 hr paintings

a 1hr study of me (over the top and goofy)

30 min eva mendes

my buddy Art 30 min

2 hr richard color study

1hr 40min chalk study

2 half hour studies, and 1hr bane study…i just liked the reference pic i guess

some more studies of my friends, the toned one was almost an hr and half way thru I had to use guidelines because i could not get the likeness for the life of me. Dunno if thats cheating but I had to see where I was going wrong.
