My goal is to produce a realistic look and I hope to obtain some advice.I’ve roughed in my sketches with shading and color and I’m finding that my pictures are becoming to blurry or to cartoonish.I think bright colors contribute to the cartoon look as well as the dark outlines.
I also hope to create a crowd in the stands and don’t know the best way to approach this.Any advice would be appreciated.

The pictures are too small to judge, but if they are blurry then use a hard round brush and blend by easing off on pressure to control opacity.
Backing off on the saturation is probably a good idea.
Develop the whole painting at once. Don’t detail one part and leave the sky white. Colors are judged in context, surrounded by other colors.
The shoes are too black to look real. Especially under a bright sky.
