Seed Studio is a new company entering into the field of Video Game Development. Seed Studio is located in Taipei, Taiwan. We are currently seeking talented and experienced individuals to relocate to Taipei to work with and lead our local team as we move forward with our first title. This posting is specifically seeking:
TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for working, developing, coordinating, facilitating, and overseeing the overall technology of the production
· Acts as a consultant to all technical and visual aspects of production
· Review concept art, storyboards, and animatics to plan the overall technology of the project
· Responsible for facilitating the Technical Supervisor of the programming department to create and implement all elements required for the project
· Implement and maintain quality control and performance guidelines
· Promotes best practices among all teams, internal and throughout the company
· Maintain communication between Technical Supervisor and programming departments
· Provide training courses on programming aspects for the benefit of the team
Requirements:
· Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills
· Experience managing mid-sized or large programming team
· A thorough understanding of production pipelines and the processes involved from the conceptual phase to implementation
· Commanding knowledge of Visual C++ is required
· Have game production experienced and completed an actual game in market (Console platform preferred)
· Experience with delivering on very tight deadlines
· Capable of working both as a member of a team, and individually with minimum supervision
· Must work for a duration of 3 years (project length)
· Self-driven, good communicator and a great team-player
Salary is competitve. Travel, housing and per diem will be provided. This job will last for approximately 3 years.
