Seed Studio is a new company entering into the field of Video Game Development. Seed Studio is located in Taipei, Taiwan. We are currently seeking talented and experienced individuals to relocate to Taipei to work with and lead our local team as we move forward with our first title. This posting is specifically seeking:
ART DIRECTOR
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for working, developing, coordinating, facilitating, and overseeing the overall art design of the production
· Acts as a consultant to the camera, production design, and special effects
· Review concept art, storyboards, and animatics to plan the overall design of the project
· Responsible for leading the production department to create and implement all elements required for the project
· Work closely with Producer on all schedules and resources
· Implement and maintain quality control and performance guidelines
· Promotes best practices among all teams, internal and throughout the company
· Maintain communication between all departments
· Work with Art Director and Production Coordinator on the outsource side to ensure that the assets created are in sync with the design of the project
· Responsible for administering performance reviews for production team
· Provide training courses on creative aspects for the benefit of the team
Requirements:
· Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills
· Experience managing mid-sized or large production team
· A thorough understanding of production pipelines and the processes involved from the conceptual phase to implementation
· Commanding knowledge of 3D Max is required
· Have game production experienced and completed an actual game in market (Console platform preferred)
· Experience with delivering on very tight deadlines
· Capable of working both as a member of a team, and individually with minimum supervision
· Self-driven, good communicator and a great team-player
Salary is competitve. Travel, housing and per diem will be provided. This job will last for approximately 3 years.
