Well first of all Im usually @ cgtalk to improve my modling skills and to learn from all the great artists here… But me and my team we thought why not search good artists interested in helping us here
The Project is called “Secret of Mana - alive”
Im Dieblein the leader of the team. I started modding perhaps 5 years ago with the release of Hl1 and well mapped here and there you know. Nothing really special until I finally started my own project what was an singleplayer mod for Half-Life1. Well everyone said “ah you cant finish a whole mod on your own” but well it worked and the mod grew pretty large.

5 months ago I started a new project which was Soma. I thought of the games I liked most and well Secret of Mana is one of my all time favourites. I really think its an RpG that has never been beaten in atmosphere or anything else.
So I asked myself why dont I put all my skills into creating such a beautiful, perfekt and enjoyable Rpg for myself. And thats how everything started.

Soma will be a total conversion of the Snes classic based on the Hl² engine. Im very used to it and I think it has good tools for us to work with. The game itself wont be a remake but an sequel connecting directly to the end of the first game.
We have got many Members going after the Story right now, a few sound artists and only me and another guy for the 3d design.
We need talented and desperate people who share the same dream and maybe want to help us. I want to make clear that I am not the guy starting a project and giving it up 3 months later. I am not the guy making the 50th WW2 mod or 50th counter-strike clone.
