Searching artists for continued development of mmorpg

#1

Hello!

We are a team of devoted game developers who at the moment are reviving a closed online GFX Mud. What we need to reopen the mud is a lot of reworking of the world, the gfx, the gameplay and the story, but we have come far in doing that.

What we are searching for now are you gfx talents out there who are looking to get involve with a fun sparetime project such as ours. The kind of gfx we are in need of are 2d non-rendered sprites, both isometric and plain symbols, monsters, items etc. The sizes ranges from 1616 up to 128128 pixels, the later mostly consisting of portraits.

We are also interested in story writers, world- and questdesigners.

The languages spoken are English and Swedish.
The ingame language is English.

Hello.

I have been doing concepts for a fantasy mmo for a while now although I have deleted most of my models due to the fact that I was not being helped in anyways and that my progress was always interupted by someone or something.

I would like to take part in your project!

I can not do isometric models yet, but i can do plain sprites that not a problem. My models were not isometric, the game was made to move in six directions but only use 4 actually changes (like most snes games) and I was useing a paper doll model so when armor changes your apperance changes to.

although I find the models you are useing a little small, I was building smaller creatures in 32x32 medium with 64x64 large with 128128 and huge and collosal all the way to about 500500

although i never made anything biger then large size (128*128)

I would like to test it out and if you allow me i can even probably host a server if needed.

im useing cable internet (3mb download, 125 kbs upload) somethings like that it might be faster… anways keep me informed please :stuck_out_tongue:

Hi!
I’m just writing to say I’ve read your reply and we are still interested in finding co-workers.
I will hopefully contact you this friday. It would be helpful if you’ve got mirc (www.mirc.com), and joined our channel #dhift at the quakenet server, but at this point it isn’t necessary.
Bye for now!
/K

Hello Kinten

I’ve joined the Mirc Channel, I took the libirty of linking to web server which you can use once its fully functional and will give the team and ftp access as soon as its setup that way the team may work on models or game anywere they go.

each member has a 3gig qouta to the stuff they can put up and a 5gig quota for the general info dump area.

I started working on some more concepts as you told me but I havent gotten used to the icons and interface yet. Please pm what programs you are useing to make the interfaces and when you do the interfaces.

I will work on some more tonight when I get home.

Thank you.

(next time I will try to do this though email, sorry in advance)
