Seam painting in Photoshop

#1

I am trying to paint over a seam in photoshop, unfortunately no matter what brush I take to it, hard, soft, clone, healing brush, even a simple paintbrush. Every single time I touch canvas with the brush, the affected area blurs, it literally makes no sense, and apparently no one else seems to have the issue, otherwise there would be a google search for it, but ive found nothing, and im so sick and tired of just ignoring it and either scrapping the work or hoping no one notices.

I very much need help figuring this out. This picture is just an example of a basic content aware healing brush over the seam…it kills the seam yea, but it also blurs the entire area. Hilariously enough, using the sharpen tool blurs the texture as well

Which version are you using? And there’s no live filter applied to that layer? Does it happen when you turn off opengl in the performance prefs?
