SDK: TYPE_NODELISTBOX holding circular references?

I have a node listbox in my paramblock that I want to be able to fill with any object in the scene, including those that have a circular dependency on the paramblock itself.

Is there a way I can do this?

have a look at layerctrl.cpp in the samples… it uses INodeMoniter to handle circular references.
