Scared of hard edge modelling

#1

I must admit, I’m quite apprehensive about attempting hard surface modelling. I’m used to low poly modelling which is quite manageable, but from what I can tell, hard surface modelling leads to a LOT more geometry and a crazy amount of edge loops that are very close to each other. I’m just not sure how I’d manage all that and keep everything clean and tri/ngon free.

Are there any tricks that would help manage things - or any good tutorials on managing these things?

Thanks for your help guys!

Those Are fantastic thanks! So easy and straight to the point. I’m amazed at how effortless the guy in the last video makes it look :). I guess it all comes down to practice at the end of the day

Many thanks!
