RPF Problems

NOT Sure if this is a max question or combustion question

Hey Everyone, I have a problem.

I am new to Combustion and don’t really understand rendering different layers in the RPF format. Now I was doing some test renders and couldn’t get it to work right. Alright this is what I did, I created four boxes and placed one in front of the other in hopes that each will be on its own layers. So if I take out one box, I should see everything behind it. Not just a black cut out. I gave each box an object channel number and checked “render occluded objects.” Now when I render the RPF file and bring it into combustion, its still one single image and I still get the black cut. What am I doing wrong? Can someone please help?

hello
the format rpf is image, therefore, when you work in that format, max asks the amount of canalesque you want to include in the image. When mattering in combustion, the question if you want to maintain the image with the separated channels or to group them in a single channel. but that image or sequence of imaenes, continues being imagenes, therefore single you can tranajar canala and the elements simepre and when you take to that information within the image from max
greetings
