Round the back

#1

Im working on compositing a sequence that involves a woman in a streetscape
surrounded by a bunch of virtual screens which she is touching and interacting with.

http://viseffects.blogspot.com/2011/06/touchscreentest.html

The screens are arranged cylindrically around her.

The way I have created this so far is with a bunch of simple solids and applied a CC Cylinder Perspective Effect. I then comped this as 3d layer above the footage of the girl.
St the blend mode to add

It kind of works OK -but

What i really need to do is make the screens dissapear when they go behind her. Without having the ones in front of her dissapear too.
Any suggestions???

Thanks in advance
V grateful for any help

Create a layer for the screens behind her, put the woman’s layer on top and create another layer for the screens in front of her.

Thanks scrimski

Sorry if Im being slow on the uptake here but how would this hlep -since the screens are in constant rotation around her?

How do you create the rotation? By rotating the cylinder or by moving the screens before applyin CC cylinder?
I would go for the latter since you could then mask out areas and hence create a back layer and a top layer. It probably reqires some eyeballing but should work.
