Robot Character with contstraints

Hi I have a Robot character in Maya, where I have the mesh constrained to the joints. I’m not binding any skinned mesh’s. I’m new to motion builder and I can’t quite figure out how to do a character like this in Motion builder. I’ve been thur a number of tutorials but have not seen anything like this yet.

My second question is we have a bunch of .BIP files from Max, is there a way to convert or use those in FBX.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The constraints should come over when you export with FBX to MotionBuilder.

.bip files have to be loaded on to a biped character and exported as FBX and then you can use characterize them in MotionBuilder.
