Da Vinci has “revival for discreet” for film repair and restoration only for the highends from discreet. Is there any tool that makes almost the same as revival but for Combustion?
Thanks

Revival has;
Dirt and dust removal
Grain reduction/removal
Scratch removal
deWarp, deFlicker ,
frame reconstruction
Splice repair
Image stabilization
Aperture correction
Frame to frame reveal brush
Direct access to stone® file system
Primary, secondary, and da Vincis
exclusive PowerWindows,
auto color balance
There is grain removal and stabilizing in AE/DF/Comb/Shake. You can also paint-out dirt and dust manually in any of those programs. Combustion also has access to stone file system. Deflicker can be found in the Sapphire package of plugins for AE/DF/Comb/Shake.
So, you can basically do the same things in any of those packages (I don’t know exactly what “dewarp” does, but you can probably do something comperable in AE/DF/Comb/Shake as well).
The closest thing you may have for C* is Red Giant’s Film Fix which is an AE plugin. I have only test it with After Effects so I don’t know if it really works with C*.
I’ve never used Revival it self, but I’ve used MTI Correct which according to what some say is better and more complete then Revival, and belive me no compositing application can do those kinds of corrections as easy as it does or as perfect. Besides things are processed while you work so there is no need for rendering which might be a huge problem when you’re restoring hours of footage.
Keep mind that you still have to supervise these automatic restorations since they usually treat everything that blinks for a single frame as dirt.
See ya,
