Retarget from a bvh format to another

Hello All,
I have a BVH file with a specific joint naming and hierarchy, and I want to retarget it to another BVH format (not T-pose) with different joint naming and less joints. Is there a way to do it?

you should be able to do that in motion builder, or maybe using maya’s humanIK retargeting tools…
