Resolution problem in AE RENDER

Hi…
m working in 3ds max and adobe after effects, my 3d renders r very high res, but when i composite in after effects and making output in TGA i m not getting good result, my output looks very low res and washed out. I mean to say my output from AE is not so gr8, can someone guide me wat setup can give me d best output from after effects.

is AE gives 72 dpi (TGA) output only ?

TGAs have no DPI flag. You can re-interpret them to whatever DPI you need in Photoshop.The rest is beside the point - AE only cares for absolute pixel dimensions. For everything else, we would need more info. It’s most definitely a workflow problem, not the program’s fault. Just saying it looks “washed out” and “low res” is far too vague. In any case, I get that nagging feeling you simply need to read the online help and need to understand how the program deals with reduced resolutions for previews, pixel aspect ratio correction, footage interpretation, OpenGL etc. as well of course as the usual suspects for introducing wrong Gamma settings on output to H.264 due to wrong settings…
