Beginner question:
I have a large mini-gun animation, and I’d like to comp the muzzle blasts and whatnot in C4, but I can’t seem to figure out how to have the muzzle flash emitter repeat after the intial pass. Like I want the muzzle flashes to repeat every 3 or 5 frames. Also, is there a few to dink around with maybe a gradient shader on the flash so it’s animated from dark orange to white as the flash occurs? Thanks
Repeating particle emitter effect?

I believe that you can render the scene and later it imports it and to use the resources of extrapolation of the Combustion, or animate the opacity of particles layer . He looks at the help of Combustion has some information on particles

I recommend that you create separate muzzle flashes for each burst of fire. If you look at footage of a automatic rifle each muzzle flash is slightly different than the last.
If you simply repeat the flashes you could end up with a shoot that looks good but not great.
