Repeatable crash - please confirm

#1

Hi fellow Modo-ers, can someone check this procedure to see if it has the same effect as it does for me? Just want to check it’s not my install before submitting an official bug report (however that works).

  1. Create a capsule, any dimensions
  2. Resize the tool properties dialogue box from the bottom so the ‘End Segments’ entry box is hidden.
  3. Click on the ‘>>’ button to bring up the hidden parameters, and enter a number into the ‘End Segments’ field.
  4. This gives me an immediate freeze, only option is to force-quit.

This is on a Mac running OSX 10.3.7, by the way. Thanks for any help - Chris

On PC (Win2k) here, but cannot get it to crash…made serveral shapes just to test with a new value each time. Must be a mac only glitch.

Cheers.

Thanks for the feedback folks, I’ve submitted it to the ‘contact’ bit of the luxology site, hope this gets through to the right people…

It’s not really an issue unless I try any really cramped layouts, but I can imagine on a laptop this would crop up a lot.

This sounds a bit like a bug that was previously reported on the Luxology forum…

This bug has been fixed for the soon-to-be-released Modo 1.02

Ah - thanks Beamtracer - this does sound like the same error, especially as it’s restricted to pop-up fields. Roll on 102…

#7

Just avoid using those pop-up fields until 1.02 is released. As an alternative you can hover the cursor over the tool control panel and hit the numeric zero button to enlarge the field.
