Renderman Ptex Displacement not working

hey guys,

im trying to get an displacement-ptex from Mudbox to RMSDisplacement in Maya.
Made an LMDiffuse and connected Displacement to DiffuseShadingGroup, Mesh has
SubdivScheme and PtexSupport. PxrPtexture is connected to VectorDisplacement,
but no displacement is rendered…

Any ideas? Thx!

have you tried to untick mipmap support in the PxrPtexture node.?

Toggle “Mip Interpolate” had no effect, but switching “Displacement Mode” to Mudbox(Obj) in RMSDisplacement and “Vector Space” to Object in Mudbox did it… :thumbsup:

Before I used “Absolute Tangent” in Mudbox and “Mudbox(Tan)” in RMSDisplacement…don’t know why this was not working…

im not sure but i think “object” wont work if you animate (deform) the object.

…maybe…but i’m working on a still this time…so it doesnt matter.

…and i still dont have a solution to get it in shader mode…
