Rendering Fuel only in Fume

#1

Hey,

I have a scene where I have a fuel source (with temp disabled) that ignites when another particle source with temp comes in contact with it.
In the render tab in Fume I tick so I can see the Fuel source. When I render a test frame out in Max I cannot see the Fuel, only the particle system with a temperature setting to it - the fire.

What do I need to do in order to be able to render out my temperatureless fuel source that is visible in my shot.

Cheers

S.

Have you tried adding a light to the fumeFX grid?

I have a spotlight in the scene, I have a standard fume template with a PF Emitter (and Fume Source) and a Simple source as well as a spot light in a 300 x 300 x 300 grid - I just delete the emitter I don’t need.

Not sure why it doesn’t render. It is there in the Fume output window and when it gets ignited you see where it is… just the cold source doesn’t show.

Have you added the lights to the illumination tab in fumeFX though? Its not enough just to have a light in the scene, you need to explicitly add it to the FumeFX grid.

yeh it’s added into the Fume properties (had to check though  )… but it’s there.
