I render to file: Shaded mode
And all I get is a black screen
Why?
Render in Shaded mode
Well, I don’t even get that far! A message saying “realtime buffer error” pops up when I try to render, or after pressing the start button nothing happens at all.
I’ve reported it to Hash.
apparently, this has to do with your video card’s capability to create an off screen buffer to store the rendered frame- it’s not an A:M problem… if you are having this problem on a PC, make sure HW acceleration is on in your video card properties, make sure you have current drivers, and a good video card- you might try switching between OpenGl and D3D and see if it works in one or the other… if you are on a Mac, your options are more limited- I guess you could complain to the video card mfg or Apple (LOL!)
I think HASH may be working on cooking up a new way to save realtime renders that’s not video card reliant, but that’s not a fact…
