Sometimes I’ve used brushes to create screws, nails and other details. Since these then have transparency I usually have to select around them and put another layer underneath and fill. I was wondering if there was any other way I might not be aware of to strip this transparency.
Remove Transparency from selection
I think I know what you mean.
If you hold down control(PC) and click the thumb of the layer you want to strip away the transparency, it will select the object around the transparency. Then hold Control + Shift + i and it will inverse the selection thus selecting the transparency. At this point you can delete or fill or do whatever you want with that selected space.
I hope thats what you meant.
Thank you for responding. I was actually thinking that if I created a screw head brush, then painted along a path I get all these semi transparent screws. I wondered if the transparency info could be deleted since I assume this transparency data must be stored as a mask or channel somewhere? I doubt I am explaining this correctly and paining another layer beneath the selection does work. Thanks for the shortcuts.
