Hi,
I am doing a car commercial for a university assignment. I am looking to composite my model into real world footage. I have attempted to film my own footage however using matchmover I am unable to track the footage well enough. The footage was filmed on a sunny day about 2pm. I have attempted to auto track the footage and manually track it as well with very very limited success. I think my problem is that the camera is set up on the corner of two streets and as the car would drive past the camera rotates too quickly making it hard to track with matchmover.
I have two questions,
the first, what key factors should I look for when filming my own footage to help with the tracking or is there anything I can do (eg. I thought maybe placing colored golf balls on the side of the road could help with the tracking)
the second question is, can anyone recommend somewhere I can find free stock footage for this type of scene. I am not greatly phased by the environment, country road, city, highway, pretty much anywhere that has a road. I have searched Google with out any major success, most places will give you low quality free but nothing in HD.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
