ReBoot Game cube shader construction (2D/3D texture)



Hi guys,

I try a fun project to develop my knowledge of the shading network inside Maya 2018

I try to replicate the Game cube from the ReBoot Tv serie from 1994.

Visually look like super simple noise, fractal, marble and cloud 2d/3d texture. But I wonder:

Is there a way to map my 3d texture like the 2d. Because my current attempt create a layered marble “cake”. And technically I want it to be animated. I dont think it should be that difficult since its a shader built in the first years of CGI. But I fail right now. Need your help
