Realistic Car - Procedural Animation

#1

I need some huge help here…

I have a really good potential job coming up but I need to know how to rig cars on a professional level, I can do that with characters and monsters / creatures and robots, but I’ve never done cars.

He says “they have to drive like they’re driving on rocks if they’re on rocks” so it’d be a case of make the car go from point A to B and it’d just drive…

I’m not looking for someone to type up the answer, that’s impossible. But what do I even search for, can you recommend tutorials, websites, etc.?

Cheers

Hi guys,

Thanks for your responses. I can’t use automated processes, I need something I can setup myself, troubleshoot myself, expand on myself, and understand myself. No shortcuts here

Hopefully you can shed some more light on how to actually do this?

The collsision detection is handled with a Conform object but I’d rather script something using intersectray

That is far far too basic. The stuff I need to learn is for engineering advertising… I will look into intersectray.

I really just need a starting point, maybe a tutorial, to get into it myself. It has to be able to be used professionally so I can’t use some basic system like that.

well you need to start at some point right? when you have a basic car rigged you can start adding stuff on that and get to pro level there is no straight line from basic to pro . bam in one shot
