Ok hello all,
I’m quite new to reactor and I have a few questions to ask all of you guys to help me for my school final year project! Ok here goes (done in a group so Im using we):
We have a character modelled and we rigged the model using Character Studio 4 Biped. So we did a walking of the character using footsteps and such. Now we have a trenchcoat that is supposedly worn by the character.
I used Reactor to select rigid bodies and cloth collections. So the body goes into rigid bodies and the trenchcoat into cloth collections. After that I used Mesh Select for the cloth to select the vertices and then used attachToRB, and of course attached it to the body.
Ok my walking begins at frame 60. So from 0 to 60 all works well. Cloth falls down nicely follow the body shape etc but when the character starts to walk, the cloth doesnt follow. I am not sure why. I have tried all I can but it just doesnt follow.
Current Test Setup:
Models - Character Body, Trenchcoat, Ground
Details:
Character Body (Rigid Body):
- Rigged with Biped
- Reactor properties mass 0.0kg (default settings in other words)
- Animated using Footsteps, manual etc
- Problem, cloth doesnt follow when character starts to walk
- A non convex object (using reactor’s test convexity), concave
Ground:
- Box
- Reactor properties mass 0.0kg (default settings in other words)
- Convex
Trenchcoat:
- Box modelling and some of other cloths Plane
- Added to cloth collection
- Used reactorCloth, Mesh Select, reactorAttachToRB as modifiers
- Reactor mass properties 2.0kg, reactorCloth properties mass 2.0kg, Avoid Intersections, Vertex Selection: Non selected are unyielding
- Concave
- Problem doesnt follow body
Ok so those are all the details. I hope I am not too wordy. I have not come across any tutorials relating Reactor and Biped etc. I just need one solution: Make the cloth follow the body using Reactor.
Do reply me asap cos our project deadline is a few days away and we just need to solve this cloth thing to get us done!
Regards,
