re: GVim gvimrc file

I have recently began using gvim and I am stumped on trying to get the vimrc file setup. The docs says I need to have something like _vimrc or _gvimrc in my vim7.0 directory. Right now it has something like:

:set textwidth=72
  :set guioptions-=T

But whenever I try to open a new gvim document those settings dont seem to work. Anyone knows how I can get the gvimrc file working?

I got it working aparently the vimrc file has to be in the vim dirctory and NOT in the vim70 dir… mods please delete this thread if it isnt useful
