Nice mattes man.

In the first image I would lose the tower on the left hand side, it hurts the composition. If you want to leave it i would tone down the detail /sharpness… it looks to sharp compared to the mountain it sits on… Other then that… sweet

In my opinion this is one if not your best work yet. You really got creative with the whole atmosphere and mist. Really inspiring stuff!!

The only thing I can really think to crit right now is that it seems with your last few paintings that you add really detailed elements on top of really blurry ones , for example the structure on the left side. I find it very noticable and I think it could help your images if you either added more detail to the land or blurred the structures you added.

Keep up the inspiring work!

I would also add a small critique, now that I saw this image everywhere and that I’m so familiar with it:

The composition is too flat…sure, your eye moves from left to right quite well, and anchores on the central castle, but just in one plane…there is nothing to catch the eye and drive it back to the image, along some depth plane. It feels like panning

Thanks for nice response and for crit.! You’re right about that… sharpness :banghead: haha…
yep, I have to be a bit more careful. About the flatness… hmm… I was going from down to up  that will be also animation, when I`ll put it into my reel.
Thanks Suirebit, matellis for your crit. It helps!
Gerardo.

great images… i’m not quite familiar with the matte painting, but I think this is amazing … I myself started a kind of matte at home and decided to search for some pieces of art here to see what is the direction, so this is something that i delightfully look upon … congratulations, and hope we will see your reel soon… i’m curious about it !!
