Question regarding cropping/rotating images.

#1

Please refer to this example below:

The goal is rotate the image multiple times to create individual movie frames for an animation effect. The area within the rectangular marquee represents the portion of the image to be cropped for the frames.

Rotating the canvas causes the marquee to disappear. Additionally, “eyeballing” the area to be cropped after successive rotations is not desirable, as all frames need to be exactly the same size, and need to be geometrically consistent.

I know how to rotate the image, but how can I crop out the frames via keeping the marquee “locked” in position?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

if you want to “lock” a selection you can save it and load it for each frame

tho i'm not sure i fully understand why you wanna do this

you could instead:

1. crop an image of the size you want
2. paste in the wheel picture
3. rotate the wheel layer and save you frames

you can even make an action for this is 5 seconds. it's very easy

hope it helps. cheers

here’s the result
